What Would You Do For Mardi Gras Beads?
Started Mon, 02/08/2010 - 01:22 pm in Do you have a crazy story about how you got beads at Mardi Gras? If so, tell me. I was born and raised in New Orleans and we went to Mardi Gras every year. I use to be in parades when I was little. It was one of my favorite things to do. I use to see some crazy stuff people would do for trinkets and beads and I was shocked. I was still little but now I just laugh at some of the things adults use to do. I would just scream my heart out when I was little and have my dad or cousins put me up on their shoulders to get the best beads off the float. Sometimes it worked and other times the lady next to me showing a little more got them. ;). Even if you have never been to Mardi Gras, what would you do to get your beads at Mardi Gras? Ally |
I am pretty gutsy Ally, I would do ALMOST anything for the attention, I mean beads. I won't do anything that makes me worry that if my Nana saw the photo on Facebook, would she be upset with me. Instead I do risky and gutsy things, such as singing or dancing contests. I could take anyone on a booty shaking contest, and for some odd reason, I am kick-ass at hoola-hooping. I will enter any contest, but I won't flash my hoo-has, makeout with some dude, get a tattoo, shave my head, or eat a scorpion.... But about anything else... gimme gimme gimme them beads please!

Wow, this is a loaded question depending on what is is that I get WITH the beads, i.e. millions of dollars in cash? or....any cash? hm.
Nope just to know YOU got the best beads at Mardi Gras!! Its a competition. You will feel like you triumphed over all. :)
